Many believe that exercising means they can continue to eat the same way or even eat more calories than they had before. Unfortunately, for proper weightloss to occur, individuals must reduce their caloric intake and eat more nutrient-rich foods, since 80% of your weightloss is attributed to what individuals are eating.

EatRight Ontario is a free service provided to Ontario residents by the Dietitians of Canada that provides easy-to-use nutrition information to help you make healthier food choices. You can even contact a Registered Dietitian to answer your nutrition related questions.

The Health Canada section of their website provides details on the Canada Food Guide, how to read nutritional labels and understand them and lots of other interesting information.

Self Magazine’s Nutrition Data website offers a free nutrition management tool that gives you nutritional information for your favourite recipes based on the US FDA standards.
